A practical checklist for swap-free forex accounts: eligibility, admin fees, holding limits, instruments and the basis of any Sharia claim.

Swap-free describes a fee term

A “swap-free” label tells you something about overnight charging. It does not, by itself, resolve questions about contract structure, leverage, ownership or religious suitability. Ask for the actual account terms and the basis of any Sharia-compliance claim. For a personal religious assessment, take those documents to a qualified adviser you trust.

Ask six questions before comparing prices

Which entity offers the account? Who is eligible? Which instruments qualify? Is there an administration charge after a grace period? Is there a maximum holding period? Can the broker change eligibility or retrospectively charge fees? Request answers in writing and keep the schedule that applies when the account is opened.

Compare the same holding scenario

For an illustrative cost comparison, choose the instrument, trade size and number of chargeable nights first. Enter the applicable financing or administration charge into our cost calculator, including any higher rollover charge. A zero overnight-interest headline can still coexist with spreads, commissions or conversion costs. The calculator does not certify religious suitability.

Why there is no ranked swap-free list yet

Our current source set does not confirm UAE-entity-specific swap-free terms for the brokers in the directory. We therefore mark availability as unconfirmed instead of treating a global marketing page as an account entitlement. A broker can be added to a confirmed shortlist only when eligibility, fees and instrument exclusions are documented.
